Halle is 6 months old! She is a very happy, sweet, observant little lady.

Halle shares her house with Kealty – a great dane. Kealty is super sweet, but as it goes with great danes, a bit clumsy. Mama Kimberly keeps everything under control and we had a great time. They all kept me moving like crazy and we got some great shots of what life is like for a very big dog and a very petite person.

Meet the Alexander Family. They get portraits done around their little girl’s birthday every year. This April Miss Avery Alexander turned three. She is quite the sweet heart. Avery is terribly smart, spontaneously flexible, and rather certain of what she does and does not like. In fact, Avery seems to me the closest likeness to Kay Thompson’s Eloise as I have ever met. She keeps you on your toes and is incredibly endearing.

Introducing: The Wortmans! Well, many of my blog readers probably already know them – don’t they just look so great in camera? Ah! And Eli, that Eli. He turned one last week and this family session was one of his gifts from his grandparents. We flounced around the park for a bit and then finished his session at his birthday party as he dove into a crazy blue and yellow and chocolate cake. The Gaines family, oh the Gaines family. Three gorgeous children and so much beautiful light – I adored this session. Chip and Joanna, the parents of these darlings, own Magnolia Homes and have a fabulous home themselves. We decided to photograph the family in their home to keep the kids more comfortable. We had a blast and the kids did so well.

I can not get over this picture of Duke! Technically, the baby’s back is to the sun, so his face should be in shadow. However, because of the light that reflected off of his dad, Duke’s face is radiant with the best kind of light. Mmm, and those trees!

Quite possibly my favorite family portrait of all time

I love this family! If you used to visit my old blog you may remember some pics from that session posted here. Here is the complete set of blog images that I just love! Elijah, or “meester” as the little one goes by, is hilarious! Many thanks to Tim for being the most entertaining lighting assistant I could ever have asked for. He didn’t really do any assisting with the light so much as chasing Meester around and doing funny English things to amuse him. We could have gone out and taken pics in bluebonnets, however I insisted that we resist the temptation and instead had everyone play around the Brannon’s house to see what we could make of it. The pics turned out just perfect.

I love how ridiculously much that diaper is sticking out of Meester’s shorts. Fantastic.
