The One Hundred
Friday, July 31, 2009

Today is the day – we have reached 100 posts on this little blog! Amazing. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who spends a portion of their day reading this blog and viewing my work. I am amazed and often overwhelmed by the excitment that my blog readers have expressed over this little nook of the web. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of my clients and fans who allow me to continue in this story-telling endeavour! I am so grateful and look forward to creating many more posts that tell the stories of life, love, relationships, and whatever all else passes my way. Here’s to us!

How wonderful that I was just featured on the lovely Emily Paben’s blog – Wide Open Spaces . She featured some of my work and dd a little post about 10 things that make me happy; she has the backstories of the images above and why I love them. My features were on July 28th and 29th. Hop on over the her blog and check out her adorable site. If you want to be in the know about all things vintage, adorable, individual, and full of taste and personality just scroll through her webpage. You are sure to find something that makes you happy!

The Bachs
Thursday, July 30, 2009

Are there two people I love more than these guys? Unlikely. Here are Andrew and Carrie just reminding the world how much they will be raising the average of good-lookingness in the years their children are born (no pending dates as of yet).

Most of the time, this is how they roll:

Seattle time! Letting out their inner artists.

These were the scariest rocks ever. Giant spiders were bounding all over the place. We didn’t see any snakes, but I bet they saw us. Predictably, the Bachs owned the location.

Tilt shift time!

Boots

Yep, Waco has it all – old buildings, big rocks, and *twist* a beach. Why anyone leaves, I am uncertain.

Waco’s loss is Seattle’s gain. I will miss you both!

Niki’s Bridals
Thursday, July 23, 2009

Here are a few shots from Niki’s bridals. We had a very ominous evening the night we took these. Rolling clouds threated us with rain the entire shoot. We did not get wet, thankfully, but did have to end early. Niki looked just stunning. Get excited for her wedding pics!

Rahmin & Stacy Married
Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Stacy and Rahmin have been a simply delightful couple to work with. I first met Stacy when she came to help her friend Lindsay during her bridal sessions. Let it be known that I was only too thrilled to learn that I did not scare Stacy away but in fact had won her over.

Stacy and Rahmin’s wedding day began wih impending rain, but Stacy being the fine bride that she was had decided even during the rehearsal to not lot a thing bother her on her wedding day. And nothing did. We had a splendid day and what little rain there was we used to our advantage. Enjoy!

Also, the groomsmen were a source of constant entertainment.

Stacy and Rahmin chose to see each other before the wedding. They were able to have so many great pictures together and spend plenty of time with their guests. You can havae your cake and eat it too.

Because of the pseudo rain, we had a stunning sky over the golf course at Ridgewood.

Stacyritas and Rahmin Cokes. Clever? Brilliant.

Congratutions to you both!

Peter & Summer
Wednesday, July 15, 2009

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Today is Summer and Peter’s anniversary. If you live in Waco, then you most likely know Summer for her amazing jewelry collection. In fact, I think I only wear her jewelry these days. If you haven’t seen her work you can check it out here. Peter and Summer will soon be leaving for Morocco, so we scheduled this shoot to get some pics taken before they headed overseas. I love these guys and will most certainly miss them when they go.

Stunn-ah!

This is such a classic Summer look – she is very full of mischief.

Summer and Peter have an adorable backyard, but we were all devoured by mosquitoes. Seriously snacked on.

Hammock time!

We had a mini-jungle.

Congratulations on another year!
