Meet the lovely Vicky. I so love photographing cathedral length veils, especially when there is a touch of wind in the air. Vicky was so graceful this entire session, I just fell in love with shooting her.

Vicky had her makeup done by the incredible Sandra Shapiro. If you are getting married in or around Waco, she is absolutely the BEST at makeup. Not to mention how fun and sweet she is – it is always a treat getting to work with her at weddings!

Also, I adore Vicky’s hair! It has to be just the most perfect shade of red.

Here she is, the love of my life, Punkin. You may remember me posting about her when she first arrived here to Texas back in January. Well, six months later, I am still so thrilled she is here. I did not think I would become one of those crazies who just love, love, loves his or her dog, but I mean, look at her! How could I not? The added fact that she is as bizarre as she is adorable make me love her all the more. Enjoy these pics of the punkin.

Actually, in the first pic she is thrilled which one might have guessed due to the bone. Also, she knows that when I am shooting her with the 85mm at 1.2 she looks her best. But in the second image the stinker is giving me the cold shoulder as I would not let her run around in the Ellis’s backyard. I was calling her name, but she would not so much as look at me – sassy. Even still, she is just practically perfect in every way. (Allison may disagree with this fact, but likley joyfully.)

Pick up a Wacoan and look for my newest ad and featured wedding! Scott and Alissa’s wedding was so sweet and turned out beautifully, even with rain in the morning. You can read about their story and check out some of the pics on page 80. Also, let me be clear and say that not only I, but my entire staff covered this wedding. Technically this means that the photographs were by Kathryn Krueger Photography. As such, a lot of the detail photos are credited to my amazing second shooter Jerry Knight.Two are definitely better than one when it comes to wedding photography!

If you read / look at this blog, you might know that I like to drop some awesome all over this little nook of the internet. What you might not have been expecting was for Jessie and Niki to bring so much awesome to their session. Jessie and I have known each other a long time, in fact, we spent a good chunk of a summer in Cairo, Egypt with a few others some years ago. [Insert picture of me standing in front of the pyramids here.] (I had braces that summer, yes I was in college, so you can forget that happening for real.) While in Egypt, I became privy to the knowledge that Jessie was approached to be a model. Keeping this in mind, I was expecting this session to be great – but when Jessie and Niki both showed up dressed perfectly for this location, I just about died.

Shadow time!

These guys changed and right outside a freight train was passing. So we of course ran into the middle of the street to see what we could come up with. Here are the things I have learned about trains:

1. They make sweet-a backgrounds as some cars are pink with graffiti on them.

2. While it is difficult to get the sun positioned between cars, it can be done.

3. They bring out the butt-kicking qualities in everyone.

Jodi looked so amazing at her bridals – I could not get over how fantastic her hair looked! Not only that, but she also brought a number of parasols, sashes, and other lovely things to spice up her session. The colors added so much as the evening progressed.
