The Alexander Family
Wednesday, April 08, 2009

Meet the Alexander Family. They get portraits done around their little girl’s birthday every year. This April Miss Avery Alexander turned three. She is quite the sweet heart. Avery is terribly smart, spontaneously flexible, and rather certain of what she does and does not like. In fact, Avery seems to me the closest likeness to Kay Thompson’s Eloise as I have ever met. She keeps you on your toes and is incredibly endearing.

Oh that we could all be so deeply delighted by a clover.

The incredibly dangerous part of the playground.

Daddy want a cracker?

Bluebonnets. I do not fight them anymore.

The wonder of the bluebonnet’s construction.

You would not believe the crazy things Amy and I did and said to make this shot happen.

At the beginning of the session Avery was rather entranced by her shadow. Here for you is her shadow dance. Happy Easter everyone!

The Texas Bride
Tuesday, April 07, 2009

Here is the second image in my anonymous bride collection (If anyone can think of a better title for this, puh-lease leave it in the comments). Bluebonnets. You can not beat them, you must join them. Thankfully, I only stepped in one ant pile this session. This bride surprised me with her natural gracefulness. I can’t wait to show you more!
