Sometimes life surprises you with something wonderful. For me this was when Abigail agreed to bring her wedding dress to Spain and do her bridals in Seville. She and I were on a team of 12 people that went to Spain to help serve a team of people from our church who are living and working there. More on that later. For now, please enjoy the images taken in a land far, far, away.

It is true – not once did we take a taxi but rather Abigail, myself and two assistants rode both the bus and the metro all around town to get to our locations. Let it be known that the first bus driver to take us around couldn’t have loved Abigail more. To every bus that passed us he would exclaim with the crazy excitement that only a 60-year-old man can have “Novia! Novia!” (which means Bride! Bride!) and pointed to Abigail. I think he spent more time looking at her through the rear view mirror in unbelief than actually watching the road. Also let it be known that a gypsy woman with an accordian was riding the bus with us.

We asked one of the carriage drivers if we could take some pics in his carriage. He of course said yes and then I think got some people to take a tour as Abigail drew such a crowd. One lady even had her friend take a picture of her in front of the carriage with Abigail dying laughing in the background.

Then a bug hit Abigail in the face.

These were taken in the Jewish quarter of Seville. The Jewish quarter is a network of narrow streets only big enough for two people to walk down. They lace through some delightful shops and restaurants just to the right of the Royal Gardens and the Cathedral in the heart of the city.

All of the images below were taken in an old tabacco factory that has been functioning as a University campus. Sadly, this was the last year it would continue as such; the enormous building was bought by some company or another and we were lucky to get to explore it while we still could. It was a little crazy walking around in there with hundreds of students everywhere. Everyone thought we were silly for taking pictures there. You will probably disagree as we did – it was an incredible location!

Thank you Abigail for bringing your wedding dress on four flights, three metro rides, two trains, and two cabs. Thank you also to everyone who helped throughout the many days we worked to make this session happen. I love you all!
